Maestro© is the world's leading debit card payment system and is more secure than Visa because a PIN number must be entered each time even at an electronic Point-of-Sale terminal. If you ever lose the card, it is very unlikely that anyone can misuse it provided you have memorised your PIN number and do not have it written down.

Features:

• The card does not carry the name of the account holder on it, so no identifying paper trail is left behind.
• Statements are reconciled monthly and will be made available for Internet access starting early next year.
• No statements will be sent to you in the mail for greater privacy.
• ATM fees are typically US $5 or 1.5% of the amount withdrawn whichever is the greater and there is a $10 monthly use fee. A credit check or prior credit history is not required which means all applications are approved.
• In order to have continued use of your card, your primary cash management account must keep a $1,000 minimum balance in the account. If the balance in the account ever falls below $500 the card will be cancelled.
